Laura Friesz's Profile

About

I've come to see jewelry making as a way to explore my somewhat unrelated interests in a very direct and inclusive way. My enthusiasm for art, architecture, nature, sustainability, food and travel all somehow find their way into my work. Often these subjects inspire tangents in my work that I find compelling. I'm an architect who loves working with my hands and found the scale of jewelry perfect for exploring a concept to the point of exhaustion. The designs are defined by pure lines, simplicity and function that are created through infinite combinations of patterns, shapes, textures and colors.
