Lisa Hurwitz graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 2000 with degrees in sculpture and printmaking. Since then, she has gained experience through her work in a variety of professional studios. She has apprenticed with a well-known area stained glass artist – learning the craft of painting on glass. She also spent several years at the Laran Bronze Art Foundry in Chester, PA where she participated in the production of the new World War II Memorial in Washington, DC.
Recently, Lisa became a mother, influencing a change in both her medium and subject matter. She now balances her time chasing little Nate around, tending to the changing needs of her newest little one, Henry (born in September), and pursuing her love for painting in her studio in Germantown, Philadelphia.
