Lisa Marie Feiteira is a contemporary artist living and working in the Southcoast of Massachusetts in her hometown of New Bedford. Born October 10, 1981, she was raised in a home with immigrant parents who stressed the beauty of the art of handmade. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2004. There she studied ceramics as well as exploring her love of art history, fashion, fiber arts, printmaking and photography. Shortly after, she attended the Rhode Island School of Design receiving a certificate of Interior Design. With her extensive studies, she has combined her knowledge of various mediums in creating her current body of work, a collection of designs both for strictly visual purposes and daily use.
