About

During the Great Depression, my great-grandmother raised chickens and sold their eggs for extra income. The feed she gave to the chickens came in wonderful cotton sacks that she would later embroider, crochet and sew into beautiful pillowcases. My daughter recently held an impromptu sack race in one of these heirloom cases; needless to say, the case lost. Inspired by my grandmother's thrifty ingenuity, I turned the torn case into a skirt that my daughter proudly shows off to anyone that wants to her our story. Now, I give new life to vintage pillowcases and showcase the embroidery talents of my great-grandmother's generation. Enjoy.
