wendy hill's Profile
i sew simple vintage style clothes using found fabrics and deconstructed garments but add new cottons as well for the right mix of colour
im drawn to using predominantly pure fibres
all items are handsewn by me at home.
i cut my own patterns as i wish to supply clothing that will outlast normal sizing and fit through a few years so base most of my designs from this point.
i adore the old nanna way of sewing that included all the classic techniques such as french seams, bias-binding, facings, ricrac, ribboned edges with of course the usual overlocking, often finishing with touches of handstitching.
