About

My first love has always been vintage fabric. I love the smell, textures and the endless variety of charming patterns. I love the faint (or sometimes not so faint) scent of cedar chest, the careful folds and care the previous owner took with their stashes of quilting materials. I particularly love 30's and 40's prints, tiny animals and novelties in particular. Perhaps the strangest part of my adoration is that I am not a seamstress. I can hand sew a little. I dream of someday making use of my own personal stashes of fabric and learning to operate my sewing machine. But for now I live vicariously through my customers.

A close second is my love of vintage clothing. I love to wear it, sell it, buy it and leave what my husband and I lovingly refer to as "genius piles" of it all over our living space. And I love that there are so many people on etsy who love it too. Now that's a lot of love!…

Other and sundry information: I love Indian food. In my opinion, it's not a good weekend if I'm not waddling out of a buffet somewhere stuffed to the gills with chana masala- without it I get cranky. I have an obsession with Britcoms and Molly Sugden is my hero. I sometimes worry my family will try to sign me up for a hoarders show. And a great day nowadays involves hearing all about kindergarten from my 5 year old daughter and potty training allllllll day long with my 2 year old son.
