Welcome to my etsy shop! I design and make my own ceramic raku beads. I design and create my unique, one of a kind, and limited edition jewelry art pieces using my hand made raku beads. I also create ceramic vessels of various shapes and sizes and uses. I have narrowed down my focus on vessels to the things I love to make.
I graduated with a BFA in fine arts, from The California College of Arts, after studying fine arts at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and The University of Colorado, Boulder. My main focus of study was printmaking and photography. I have explored many other different media such as painting, drawing, sculpture, jewelry design, and papermaking, among others. I believe that each medium influences how I approach other media and the techniques that I use. A recurring theme of my work is 'shadows and light', which stems from my photographic eye.
I have since found my true love; clay. I love clay in every way, shape and form. I have been creating my own raku beads for over 8 years. The process still amazes and excites me. It reminds me of alchemy. I like to create pieces that are truely one of a kind and unique, so that the person wearing my art knows they wont see the same piece on someone else.
Thank you for taking a look at my shop! Enjoy!
