Lola is currently teaching a quilting class called THREAD ART on Craftsy.com. Lola Jenkins has brought a unique vision through her incredible art quilts. Her quilts display the joy and freedom of pursuing her passion. The mystique of this African-American woman is that she is just started sewing in 2004. Without any background in sewing, art, perspective, drawing, etc . she developed her passion. Through her courage and fearless approach in creating art quilts she has evolved to master-quilter status. Lola states, "I don't know the rules, so I couldn't break the rules of quilting."

Her first showing was at the Central Oklahoma Quilt Guild show in June, 2007. She won 2nd Place for an art quilt of Ray Charles, and three Honorable Mentions. She was the Featured Artist at the 2008 Winter Quilt Show in Oklahoma City. She has also been the featured artist at the Oklahoma State Guild, Arkansas State Guild and Retreat , Muskogee Quilt Show, Tulsa Quilt Show, Hutchinson Kansas Quilt Show, and The Oklahoma Cheese Festival.
In 2009 she continued her journey by winning best use of color, best design, president's challenge and judge’s choice award in the Central Oklahoma Guild.

In the February 2011 issue of The Quilt Life Magazine Lola is one of the featured artist, in addition she was featured on The Quilt Show in August 2011 with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tim's. The Quilt show invited Lola to be one of the featured Artist at the Huston Quilt Show in October of 2011. And in December of 2011 one of her quilts appeared on the cover of a magazine in Oklahoma.

Lola currently gives programs with a trunk show, workshops, and classes for guilds, cruise ships, retreats, and organizations across the U.S. and aboard. She presents a hilariously funny, informative yet unforgettable program and trunk show that should be turned into a movie. Her classes are taught with skill... unique... fun and worth their weight in gold. She is known for her classes on portraits, fantasy collages, silhouettes, and thread art just to name a few.

Each year Lola has a one women show at the Midwest City Library in celebration of Black History Month
