I am a mother of seven children (10, 9, 7, 5, 3, 2, and 7 months). My husband is a firefighter and I am a registered nurse. Early one morning when our second daughter was a baby, I woke to the sound of her muffled cries. As she slept, she had become tangled in her blanket, and it had wrapped around her face, thankfully without harm. After that day, we began using sleep sacks in the crib as a safer alternative to traditional baby blankets.
