About

Welcome to my little Gallery located here at ETSY.com.

I was born and raised in the little city of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. It may be a smaller sized city, but the landscape is simply beautiful, as it's located at the heart of the three Great Lakes.

Art has always been a part of my life as far back as I can remember. As a little girl, being creative was so important to me. The desire to create was very strong and often got me into trouble. For example doodling during class time and playing with my father's carpentry tools, to the point where I enjoyed making a rivet design on his work desk..Well needless to say the tools were hidden and I was given a sketch book and paints to occupy my creative personality and time. I aspired to be an artist as an adult, but was discouraged by my parents, as they didn't really understand the concept…

I aspired to be an artist as an adult, but was discouraged by my parents, as they didn't really understand the concept of being an artist.

I managed to survive through college and university taking a few art courses here and there, but graduated with a diploma in Child and Youth Worker and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Through my education and desire for change and to inspire change, I was driven to work in the Child Welfare field. It's a grueling, demanding field, but the rewards of helping a child always out weighs the cons.

Acrylic, oil pastels, and many other mixed media materials is what I enjoy working with the most. I have also been commissioned for portraits and abstracts work and take great pleasure in commissioned pieces. I tend to lean towards the retro shapes, form and colour. I love the lively colours from that era and I try to capture that in my work.

All of my works are originals and are signed on the back of the canvas.

I'm currently a registered member EBSQPLUS JURIED ARTIST- Self Representing Artists
