Knit envy. The heart pang that goes off when a crocheter peeks at knitters' projects and sees a world of cables, patterns, and textures squarely out of reach to the crocheter. I admit I have it.

And so, I took this cavernous gap in style and texture between knitting and crocheting as a challenge: To design a range of knits (in the broadest sense of the term) that are the envy of any knitter!

And Knits for Life was born.

Say goodbye to granny squares and baby quilts. Here comes this season's color palettes, designs that free your hands and mind, and textures that make your friends go "ooh la la!"

I aim to incorporate my passion for life and creativity into my products. I use a range of fibers that are more compassionate to people, plants, animals, and other species. I donate a new tree for every item sold to the Nature Conservancy's Plant a Billion Project. Packaging usually contains recycled, post-consumer materials.

Sharing my challenge's growing mound of finished goods with customers meant bringing you into the picture. I have so much fun imagining diverse people to make new items for. I like to get personal with customers from design to packaging to learning how the products are doing months later.

The group of buyers and sellers on Etsy are endlessly passionate about creativity, process, and business. Check out some of the fun we're having in my treasuries and groups. No other place on the web has as much capacity to help me beat this challenge!

Happy crafting on Etsy!
