About

As a kid I took camping trips with my parents to remote areas to go rock hunting. At the time I hated it but something about the world of gemstones and lapidary stuck with me. Early on I was making simple jewelry and selling the styles to teachers and administrators in my school. It never became my passion. Unti now.

Not really knowing what to do or where to turn, I took a stab at jewelry making as a more serious endeavor. I enrolled myself in every jewelry design and metal smithing class I coud find and began to produce a few necklace styles. Within 6 months I had somehow put together a contemporary line and sold it to the most popular boutique in the area. This shop, still one of my favorites, regularly sells out of almost every style of the Lost Bird line.

Now 2 years later, I am still educating myself and selling to more and more local shops. I still sometimes feel like that "lost bird" but Iam fighting my way back with this delicate line of jewelry as my motivation.
