Loulou Lollipop is a Canadian company founded by twin sisters Eleanor and Angel. It is a design oriented, colour loving and fun seeking company that focuses on high quality baby goods, teething jewelry and toys.

How we started?

Before Eleanor started Loulou Lollipop in 2015, she was a lead interior designer for a local Vancouver residential construction company, working long hours trying to get by and chip away at the debt that she had inherited. She worked all the way up until her daughter, Kinsley, was born in March 2014. When Kinsley was only 6-months old, Eleanor received the dreaded news that the company she was working for had gone bankrupt, making her maternity leave a permanent leave. Since going back to her previous job was now out of the question, Eleanor started looking for work that she could do from home so that she could help provide for her family while taking care of her daughter until Kinsley could enter pre-school. The idea of making teething jewelry was sparked when her 6 month old Kinsley broke a couple of Eleanor's favorite necklaces. After a few months of market research, and sourcing bead samples from suppliers, Eleanor decided to take the plunge of entrepreneurship and start making teething jewelry to sell on Etsy. In April 2015, with the limited budget that could be set aside for supplies, Loulou Lollipop opened with a few necklace and pacifier clip designs. These designs were well received by Etsy mothers and babies.
Seeing the early success of their necklace and pacifier clip line, Eleanor and Angel knew they had to have their products tested to conform with local and international safety standards. There would be a significant cost involved with it, but the health and safety of their customers was their utmost priority. In June of 2015, Loulou lollipop passed the testing required for ASTM, CPSC and CPSIA.
Fast forward to a year and half later, Loulou Lollipop is now in over 50 stores world-wide and have been featured in multiple magazines and press. It is also one of the fastest growing silicone teething accessories stores on Etsy with over 8000+ sales and 2000+ FIVE star reviews within ONE year. All of these are attributed to Eleanor's passion for fun, colourful designs, and her knack for creating eye catching colour combinations.

Loulou LOLLIPOP is the original and first designer of the ever-so-popular DONUT silicone teether with sprinkles and ICE CREAM silicone teether with sprinkles! Other brands and overseas factories have started copying their ideas after seeing how successful their products are.

Where did the name Loulou LOLLIPOP come from?

Since we create wearable and chewable "neck candy", LOLLIPOP is a fitting name for our idea behind the brand. We want to create something that's sweet and memorable. The word "loulou" is an affectionate term used by the French meaning "darling". We love everything French, and because our designs are catered to little ones, Loulou flows well with LOLLIPOP and that's how we came up with our name.
So what does Angel do?
Angel is Eleanor's twin sister and she does everything that Eleanor asked her to do! Just kidding! Well, Angel is a mom of two rambunctious 7 and 9 year old girls and has been married to her husband for over 10 years. When Eleanor asked Angel's opinion about starting a business to make and sell teething necklaces, Angel thought that it was a great idea since she had stopped wearing any kinds of jewelry for the 4 years that her girls were babies. She had never heard of silicone teething necklaces and when her daughters were younger, there was nothing like it around. She now helps Eleanor with making and packing orders, and handling the marketing and sales aspect of the business.
