I'm an early 1970s gal, and though I was born in Red Bank, NJ, I was raised in South Charleston, WV, a place I am proud to call home. I completed my formal Art Education with a degree in Fashion Design at Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY; to include studies at the London College of Fashion and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Years later, I gained a Masters of Arts in Human Resources from Central Michigan University.
In the mid-90s, I married into the Army and moved 14 times in 20 years, all over the U.S. and Germany with my military husband and two children. My husband recently retired and we currently live in California.
My first art "sale" was to my high school principal, who bought my painting that had won the state high school art contest. I enjoyed painting special scenes for family and friends gifts and painted "Winged Victory" for my husband's Christmas gift in 2003.This print, "Winged Victory" was a huge success and was accepted into the permanent collection of the Cantigny Museum, Wheaton, IL. Renowned artist P.Buckley Moss also owns one of these prints.
The 1st Engineer print, "Task Force Trailblazer" was chosen by the Engineer Museum at Fort Leonard Wood, KS to represent recent engineer operations in Iraq. This print hangs in the Army Corps of Engineers Hdqts, Portland, Oregon.
"We Go Together" is in the permanent 2nd Infantry Division Museum collection, Camp Red Cloud, Uijongbu, South Korea. This painting highlights my favorite tree, the ginkgo.
I continue to paint beautiful things that I would want in my home or give as a gifts.
