About

Hi-

a little info about me...

I have been an Artist at heart since I was young. Over the years, this has included: painting with oils and acrylics, crocheting, soap-making, candle-making, quilting, sewing, stained glass work, photography, and the latest creative love, designing jewelry, which I discovered about 11 years ago.

Etsy has given me the chance to share my love of beads with artists all over the world! I don't have much time to make jewelry anymore, because I have discovered I love taking photos of beads. That is MY current creative outlet that brings me so much joy! Etsy keeps my connection strong to other bead-obsessed artists all over the world!

I began my teaching career 24 years ago. I feel so fortunate to be working part time…

a little info about me...

I have been an Artist at heart since I was young. Over the years, this has included: painting with oils and acrylics, crocheting, soap-making, candle-making, quilting, sewing, stained glass work, photography, and the latest creative love, designing jewelry, which I discovered about 11 years ago.

I began my teaching career 24 years ago. I feel so fortunate to be working part time with young learners doing challenging and creative work. During my free time, I love to hang out with my husband, Brett, (teacher, coach, ukulele player, & plant collector) and our 12 year old son, Kana (a blessing, li'l ukulele player), and all of our pets!

I am very fortunate to live in a beautiful rural spot on the Central Coast of California. Blessed to be living close to our immediate family. We are surrounded by beautiful trees, wonderful smells (pine, eucalyptus, citrus), great sounds (hawks, chickens, horses, dove, owls, cows, etc.) and fresh fruit all year!

Back in the 1940s, my grandfather, Tony Nunez, had a bar/cafe in downtown Santa Maria called the Lucky Spot. That's where the my shop photo and name comes from. I feel fortunate that I can carry on the name.

So, my shop really is what I consider a boutique. I try to offer something different and unique that I could use in a beautiful jewelry piece. It is hard to describe how much my little shop means to me, and how much enjoyment it brings!

Happy looking, shopping, collecting, and creating with bohemian glass beads! (My next Etsy project might be a little vintage shop to share more goodies!)

Thank you for taking a look,
Lisa :)
