About

My name is Ann and I make jewellery - lots of it!

Having worked for many years as a potter, but with a secret (actually not so secret) longing to make silver jewellery, I was thrilled some years ago with the discovery of metal clay. What could be more fantastic for a clayworker than being able to magically transform the work into silver - and what's more it's recycled so very eco-friendly - I was hooked!

I still sell under my old pottery trading banner of Lukelys, for sentimental reasons - the name comes from the stream that runs through the bottom of my garden which I am very fond of.

Most of my work is created using metal clay in both silver and copper, but I also use some sheet metals and sterling silver wire. I am also an avid beachcomber and am forever picking up interesting bits and pieces: beachglass, shells etc, which I turn into one of a kind pieces of jewellery when I have the time, although for the most part they just sit on a jar on my shelf looking pretty.

Almost everything inspires me (unfortunately!). A shadow, a reflection, a pattern of light, a sound or a smell, or just a feeling of "something", so I am always working on new ideas, new textures etc.

You will also find in the shop a range of fingerprint and keepsake jewellery and it is incredibly fulfilling to make these special pieces for people.

I don't sell wholesale so you can be assured that your jewellery is exclusive to Lukelys, with numbers of each item produced being limited to what one person can make without having a nervous breakdown!

I hope you enjoy browsing the shop and will pop back often to see what's new.
