My shop title says it all - The Empty Nest - what does that mean? No more kid car insurance to pay, no more college expenses, no more wedding expenses, YAHOO!

I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 30 years and we have two beautiful grown daughters so my nest is empty, if you don't count the dog (hence my username luv4sams stands for luv for my two rescue samoyeds - Blaze and Blizzard - sadly Blaze passed away Xmas 07 :(

Both of my girls are artistic, one in illustration and one in photography. My oldest daughter has a BA in art and design and drew my logo for me (it is supposed to represent my two daughters who left the nest). Both of my girls are artistic, one in illustration and one in photography. My oldest daughter has a BA in art and design and drew my logo for me (it is supposed to represent my two daughters who left the nest). She had a medieval wedding in 2006 which took up most of my time for a year and a half. She designed all of her artwork for the wedding from scroll wedding invitations, to custom made programs with a wax seal and those items kept me busy at night (check out her websitewww.mandapandarawks.com).

Well, since she got married, I needed something to occupy my spare time and I never thought of myself as a crafty person so I started dilly dallying with marble magnets and making marble necklaces and people kept saying "you need to sell this stuff." Well, now I have quite a line-up of handmade items.

I love the aspect of recycling and turning something old into a new vibrant piece of art that someone will enjoy and keep forever. I live by my own 3 R's - reuse, refurbish, reinvent!

I love making things that will bring about a smile! Thanks for looking!

P.S. All items come from a smoke-free home.
