I am one of the very first modern fairy photographers. I began my work in the 1970's in Santa Barbara, California, and though my days of cavorting with fairies are long over, luckily, I have many photos. Those days were long before computers, and many hours were spent making costumes, searching out the hidden spots where fairies play and dance, and creating a sense of wonder in the children who were posing for me.
Now, with the glories of photoshop, I get to revisit my old friends, add wings, and sometimes even transport them across continents.

I hope my fairies will bring you as much pleasure and joy as they do me.

I will be transitioning my fairy photos back onto my MiriamHamsa store over the next few weeks. It features travel photography - mostly France (including some dreamy fairytale castles) adobe churches, whimsy and lots of Virgin Mary's.
