About

A wildlife conservationist by trade, my curiosity with gems and jewelry began at a young age. Collecting and studying rocks were a favorite past time and some of my most used books as a child were mineral field guides. My grandmother had an amazing collection, which I was fortunate enough to be able to play with as a little girl. Opening her jewelry box had a dazzling effect on my brain. Where were pieces acquired, what stones and metal are they made out of? So many questions that needed answers! And my grandmother had many wonderful stories to tell about each piece of jewelry. When she passed away, I inherited the collection with all it's imbued memories and I continued to add in earnest from then on.

I love to travel and I hunt for treasures while exploring new places and cultures. Looking upon and wearing those pieces that I'd discovered during my explorations brings me back to those times and places in my mind. They became more than just beautiful objects, they became memory touchstones, which makes them worth far more than their intrinsic value. Everything offered in my store has been personally collected and loved by me. I want to pass along these treasured items so new memories can be made, a new history written for each piece.

In addition to supplementing my meager wildlife generated income, I use my sales here to help support other organizations who contribute important work to the world. In past years, I've used a portion of profits to support grassroots wildlife conservation organizations. In 2016, however, 10% of the net sales proceeds will be going toward Alzheimer support, to the NJ Alzheimer's Association (alznj.org), as I have been personally touched by the disease and have entered into the role of care giver.
