I am a Welsh born artist, living just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Gower coastline. I am married with two grown-up children (both having flown the nest), and my inspiration comes from everything around me. Colour is very important to me and I hope this is reflected in my enamelwork.

Enamelling is an ancient craft and is labour intensive. Enamel is glass with added metal oxides which gives the glass its colour. The glass is sieved onto its support metal and I use pure copper or sterling silver and fire to 800 degrees celsius. The layers of enamel are built up and fired a minimum of five times to achieve depth of colour.

I specialise in cloisonne work, which are lines of a design created by bending and shaping copper, gold or silver wire.
