About

Hi! My name is Kristin Mayberry. I am an artist with a BFA and an MFA in painting. I work at a world famous wax museum utilizing my painting skills, and when I'm not being silly with my kids, I'm having fun making toys!

I come from a long line of talented and creative women who sewed, knitted, cross stitched, and crocheted. My mother made all of my favorite dresses when I was little. I have sewn since I was a girl myself. One day a few years ago my oldest child asked for a specific stuffed animal that wasn’t available in the stores. Like many crafty moms I got to work on a solution and made the stuffed animal myself. I realized toy making was a lot of fun and very rewarding! Friends and family encouraged me to start making the toys and selling them on Etsy. I decided to give it a try and have been thoroughly enjoying myself ever since!

My family and I love being silly and having fun so I try to make my toys silly and fun. Often my children come to me with ideas for new stuffed animals. Sometimes I am inspired by a great piece of fabric I’ve found. The amazing work of other artists inspires me as well. Frequently, I sit down and just start sewing and the idea comes to me as I go.

One of my favorite things to hear from a customer is that my toys made them laugh. A grin, a giggle, or a squeal of delight are all reactions I hope to get from my creations. I also try to make everything as durable as I can. Being a Mom I know, toys need to be able to withstand lots of love!

Thanks for visiting my plush toy shop! I hope my little toys will brighten your day and make you smile! Please come back again soon! I will be adding new items regularly!
