I'm mother of two wonderful Girls Raised In The South (GRITS) and actually live in the South with the younger. The older has flown the coop and lives outside of Washington D.C.
On our little farm we're trying to move in the direction of home-grown, locally grown, organic, grass-fed, free-range, and all those good things, both to improve our wellbeing and to decrease our wear and tear on old mother earth. There's a lot of satisfaction in this fairly simple country lifestyle, especially since the kids handle most of the work involved!
My greatest enjoyment and sense of accomplishment, though, comes from my daughters and their families.
