Why Manic Muse? While the word "manic" has justifiably received a negative connotation when used in conjunction with certain mental conditions, it's first definition according to "The Wordsmyth English Dictionary Thesaurus" is "an extreme desire or enthusiasm". So you see, being manic, in and of itself, is not always such a bad thing. These enthusiastic moments are most expressive and effective (of course, there are those that would agree that in our case the word "mental" applies).
