About

Polio "caught" me when I was a child and I have dealt with disability all of my life. I hold degrees from Stanford University (BA medieval history, with honors) and the University of Chicago Divinity School. I love working with my hands, especially knitting, sewing and baking. Computer design can absorb hours of my time.

My sewing began in grade school as I designed and made clothes for my dolls. Knitting came about through a wonderful class that I took with my mother when I was in my late teens.

Photography is an interest that also began in grade school and was nurtured by my father, an excellent photographer himself. Now with the computer I can combine my love of flowers with photography and via the computer and printer make things to share with others. These include cards, paper boxes and printed fabric items…

Twenty or so years ago, I began a line of herbal products that are reappearing now on my Etsy shop. They are natural additions to my home and I hope that you will find them beautiful and useful as well. I strive to use organic ingredients whenever possible and to use high quality materials always.

A small line of patterns for knitting and sewing will be coming soon. The first, my directions for making a slide board cover is available in the patterns sections.

I am so grateful to be a member of the Createability Team and hope that you will search on this tag for lovely work by other members. The team is for disabled people and caregivers of disabled people.

In addition, I am glad to be a part of the California Crafters Club of Etsy (CCCOE) and SF Etsy, a team for Etsy sellers in the San Francisco Bay Area (sfetsy is the tag).

I also belong to the Catholic Etsy Artists Guild (teamcatholic)and to CAST, Christian Artists Street Team.

Whenever possible I like to buy from other Etsy sellers to contribute to keeping community alive and well.
