About

Let me introduce myself. I love beautiful things from the past as well as the present. I believe in the William Morris maxim “never have anything in your home which you do not find both useful and beautiful.” This means I am overrun by fabrics, trims, papers, art supplies and beads which I put to good use.

I learned to embroider and make doll clothes at my grandmother's knee when I was five. I started making my own clothes by the time I was eight. I’ve sewn in college costume shops as well as for the costume shop of the local Civic Light Opera. I used to make some of the frilly, girly hats you'd find in the Mad Hatter on Main Street or in the Marche aux Fleurs in New Orleans Square.

I have collected pieces of vintage jewelry and textiles. I also enjoy designing graphics, drawing and painting. I love the exuberance of the past, and so the handcrafted accessories and hand screened t-shirts I will be offering will feature lovely materials and designs that I hope you will love.
