Born and raised in France, I am a third generation weaver and designer, a grand-uncle and my mother having preceded me in this trade.
When I was 14 years old, I started training with Danielle Pipault, a member of the weaving studio “Les Ateliers Plasse – Le Caisne”.

In 1979, my husband was offered a teaching position at a university in Iowa, and we left France with our first born. Two more children were born in the US and for the next 14 years, I devoted my life to raising my family.
In 1993, my mother joined us in Iowa. Our three jack looms were shipped over to the US and together we reopened the studio. The oldest loom is dated 1832 and comes from an abandoned mountain cabin up in the French…
