Marion's Profile

About

I've always enjoyed creating and making things, especially textiles. As a child I knitted, sewed and embroidered clothes for my dolls, and as a cash stretched teenager learnt to design and make my own clothes.
After a first degree Philosophy and Fine Art I studied the Conservation and History of Dress and Textiles at the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London and then put this training into practice, working as a textile conservator for 10 years.
I now use my love and knowledge of historic textiles and traditional patterns from cultures across the world to inspire me in my designs for contemporary pieces to enhance your home.
I believe in using high quality natural fibres and ensuring that everything I design and make will give lasting value.
