My name is Marji Darling and i live in Adelaide, South Australia. In my 'day job' I work as a Registered Nurse. I've always had an appreciation of glass in its many forms, and i love the interplay with light, colour and form that are so evident in glass objects. Light and colour are such an important part of the Australian landscape, and glass is a good medium to express this. I've been making lampwork beads for 5 years, and working with fused glass for 3 years. All my beads are annealed after i make them, in a digitally controlled kiln for durability.Fused glass items are also annealed after fusing in the kiln. I currently use Moretti and CiM glass for beads, and Bullseye glass for fusing.
All jewellery is strung on a variety of flexible, medium or heavy nylon coated stainless steel beading wire. I use sterling silver findings, and double clamp all my work securely. Fused glass attachments are either sterling silver or, more often,…

Fused glass attachments are either sterling silver or, more often, sterling silver plate. I abrade then glue on bails etc with 2 part epoxy resin.
