About

I am happy to say that I am officially retired, and I can now spend my days doing whatever I want. And, what I want is to spend my days designing and sewing for my Etsy Shop, and running my store on eBay called "This Little Piggy Went to Market." It is a wonderful thing to be able to be you own boss. I can truly say, for the first time in my life, that I love what I am doing!

Now, a little about my sewing skills. My mother was my inspiration. She taught me to sew at a very young age. When I was a young child Mom always sewed my little dresses with a matching dress for my doll. Her inspiration lead me to learn cross-stitching, knitting, crocheting, tatting; and in my teen years, and beyond, I made all my own clothing.

I have now chosen to hand stitch, and the holidays are what inspire me to work with wool felt. Many years ago I was looking for a tree skirt for a small feather tree, and was unable to locate any that fit my needs, so I made my own with wool felt. And, that is how it began. I have been doing this for more than ten years, and have expanded into making table mats, ornaments, tree toppers, and fully decorated feather trees, in addition to my ever popular feather tree skirts.

I love to hand stitch, and create little pieces for holiday decorating. It brings me joy when I see a completed piece of work, and I know from my feedback that it brings joy to others as well.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those generous people who support my work. I am so grateful to all of you. And, of course, a special thank you to Etsy for such a wonderful place to list my handiwork!
