About

Hello, and welcome to Acrylic Impressions!

My name is Maya, I am a young artist living in Colorado. Outside of painting, I am an avid equestrian. I bought a little weanling when I was eleven, and we have grown up together, learned with each other, and had many fights along the way, which is to say Jasper has been one of the best experiences of my life. I was also a competitive gymnast for over ten years, but did gymnastics for about 16 years. Now I am coaching the girls whom I once practiced with, which is a great honor, opportunity, and certainly a challenge. And I can't say exactly what it is about them, but I love birds, any kind of birds. Clover and Arwin are my two at home, the little feathery friends that are always at my side. I reside in Fort Collins Colorado in the winter, but in the summer we move up to Coal Creek Canyon, the most beautiful place in the world. Upon a mountaintop, my family and I maintain a 100 year old property, a historic piece of land passed down family to family. My aspirations, inspirations and revelations are here. It is because of this place that I never want to live anywhere else. However, I am an avid traveler, and find inspirations to life where ever I go.

As for my art, my style is forever changing, as I search for my artistic niche and so far, I have covered quite a large spectrum. I hope to get as much exposure as possible through local coffee shops, art shows and galleries when I get the chance. I have been doing art all my life... beginning in rainbows and mermaids, and exploring new things as they come, however, attempting to sell my art has only been something on the next artistic horizon for a short while. I don't expect everyone to love my work, but do hope they appreciate the work and care that goes into each piece.
