Aloha!
I was born and raised on a tropical plant farm in Hakalau, on the Big Island of Hawaii, but adventured out to the Bay Area of California for about 7 years.
While there, this little country girl absorbed as much of the diversity that city life could offer! I learned and grew so much in that time. Went a little crazy and cut my hair into weird hipster styles and a rainbow of colors, got tattoos that made my mother cringe (but at 11 years later I still love em!), made many mistakes and learned how to fix them best I could.
But after a few unexpected family events, the time came for me to move home. Which turned out to be a great move because home is HAWAII! I was able to submerse myself in the beauty and healthiness of the many wonderful things the Big Island has to offer.

About

The move home was also the rein pulling I needed for my sometimes reckless behavior. I became full-time caregiver for my grandmother showing signs of Alzheimer's. We must have driven each other a bit nuts, but with her guidance I was able to nurture my own domestic side. Unfortunately, as I wasn't trained in any real caregiving, after some time her health worsened beyond my capabilities and I needed to move her into a home closer to medical facilities.

I've been making jewelry for over 12 years now, and strive to balance those contradictory wild and quiet parts of myself, and try to carry that thoughtfulness into each design. I feel I must be a creative type because that hunger to reinvent, to redefine, to be better than before, never goes away. And I would never want it to. ;)

One of my favorite parts about jewelry making is working with natural gemstones. I love all the natural inclusions they can have, which also make each piece completely its own, even if a similar one is made.

The Wire Wrapped Shell Collection is available for wholesaling, with a minimum of 5 pieces (interchangeable styles/colors). Hawaiian cone shell styles are limited to shell supplies and not available for large quantities (ie: more than 20 pieces).
