About

I’m a Visual Storyteller who enjoys to crochet on my spare time. I’ve been crocheting on and off for about 8 years. I usually make scarves (and when I first started, I made lots of goofy doilies). I want to expand my knowledge of crochet and learn to make other projects, as well as learn how to knit. I inherited tons of needles, I just don’t know how to do it.

In 2009, during the holidays, I went through surgery. I used my recovery time crocheting something new almost everyday during 2010!!!

About my Crocheting career..

From my aunt, I learned to crochet at a young age. I started seriously crocheting at around 2001, making lots and lots of scarves. When 2009 came rolling along, I was involved in an arts festival. I decided to make crochet projects, and stumbled upon AMIGURUMI!!!

Not to mention YARN BOMBING, which is also another genre of fiber arts I'd love to dive into. Check out this news article(http://www.theeastsiderla.com/2010/10/highland-park-gets-yarn-bombed/) about a yarn bombing show I was in, called Fig Knit-On (Sept 2010). I'm the one who created the 'magazine stand cozy'. That news article has a picture of me there with my husband just as we finished setting up!

For 2011, in March and June, I'll be in two different Yarn Bombing shows in Highland Park, CA and Santa Monica, CA, respectively. Keep an eye out for work in progress, pictures and other goodies! Search for "meowkernaut" on Twitter, Blogger, Ravelry, and DeviantArt!
