I'm Irene or Irini (the Greek pronunciation of my name, which means peace), though can't say I always live up to that word.

I've always been obsessed with metal, from rusty old springs to the precious stuff. After rudimentary fiddling I completed a Masters in London in Jewelry design. I've been a professional graphic designer for many years but wanted to make again with my hands. Now I do both.

As a designer/maker in London explored jewelry outside of a traditional and commercial context. I use precious metals mainly, but my methods cross disciplines from book making and working with paper.

Back in NYC, I am enjoying the handmade movement that has taken root here. As you can imagine Etsy was a great find for an independent maker at the time. However recent changes in guidelines that Etsy has implemented are not helping handmade artisans like me. I hope you decide to purchase from my shop because you are looking for handmade pieces and not mass produced items.
