About

Before I tell you a little about myself, I would like to let state that I am always open to reasonable offers on my pieces!

With that said: here's a little bit about me.

I began my carving career in 1975, but it was after retirement in 2001 that I became a serious carver.

I live in Central Florida with my Wife Lynda, and 4 dogs (or fur kids): Sir Winston (Briard), Kid Kody (Wire Haired Fox Terrier), Raggs and Layla (Shih-Tzu Pups).

I spend approximately 8 hours each day in my carving shop, working diligently on the next Elephant, Gator, Frog, Wooley Mammoth or ? Each piece is unique unto itself, and yet distinctly reflects my own personal style.

A William Andrew Haight carving normally entails many months of preperation and work. Starting with the vision of the piece, selection of the wood, sketch of the animal or ? to be carved, rough staging and finally completion.

Consequently each piece is a treasure unto itself; a columnation of a vision, and a true masterpiece for the serious collector.

Each carving borders in the realm of the sublime, and is destined to become an heirloom piece, to be cherished by future generations.

I use my carvings as a way of keeping my mind active, considering no piece, large or small unimportant.

Each carving reflects a part of me, and the fact that I have spent, and still do spend, many hours perfecting my gifts.

Thanks so much for viewing my Profile Page,

Bill
