** Making dolls, embroidering, gardering, eating, dreaming... And drinking tea.

Hello! I'm an artist that lives, works, eats and dreams in the beautiful city of Barcelona.
I started making dolls and working with fabrics while studying Fine Arts, now i return to my old liking and i spend a lot of time putting colors together, playing amongst fabrics, sewing, crocheting... I'm completely fallen for vintage toys, children's books, 40s and 50s illustration, Japanese culture and naïve art.
I also make fake watches, little creatures in cold porcelain, prints...

★ About 'dolis y dolos'
I make these charming handcrafted rag dolls trying to do my best in making people happy, or just to bring a smile to you ♥ 'dolis y dolos' are full of good cheer!
The reason for these unsuspected good vibes is that each doll is entirely designed and handcrafted by me in my home studio in Barcelona, where the sun shines almost every day -down a hill and near the sea, surrounded by flowers, birds singing, good food, good music and good wine!

Making these little dolls is a very slow process. I get inspiration from colors and fabric. There's the soul of an object, an animal, a vegetable... And finally the soul of a doll hidden in each piece of a fabric waiting for me. I make a very simple drawing to get the pattern once I know what my doll is going to be. I machine-stitch the main parts of the body separately and I stuff them with a lot of polyfill, cause I want to make them really tough. Finally I get the whole body sewing all together by the hand, in a clumsy way.
I love to darn or mend them.
Flawed stitches lend dolls a warm and cozy human touch. 'dolis y dolos's faces are carefully embroidered too and adorned with outrageous bowls, felted or crocheted accessories.

They all come in a nice plastic box with an exclusive illustrated and designed vintage style card. You can view all the details posted here:
