About

I opened my brick and mortar (it really has a brick front) in 2005 in the small town of Pleasant Hill, MO. It has been a blessing and I have made so MANY friends that I wouldn't have met otherwise.
I actually live outside of town on 4 acres with my husband and (for the moment) daughter, 2 inside cats and 1 barn cat. When I have more time I will get a dog. I love the outdoors but we live in an area where our dirt is like concrete and our garden isn't the greatest. My husband recently planted our pasture to "prairie" and hopefully it will flourish. I do love to mow and I love the smell of fresh cut grass.
I not only love quilting and fabrics (I really hate to sew clothes), but I also love re-purposing items. I can look at an item and say, "HEY, wouldn't that make a cool looking ???" People say I look at things differently and it drives my engineering husband up a wall. I come up with a design and he has to…

People say I look at things differently and it drives my engineering husband up a wall. I come up with a design and he has to make it function. And usually (this is the part that drives him insane) I don't have written plans on paper.
I hope my items inspire you in all your projects and thanks for finding and making Quilt Stop on etsy.com favorite destination.

update: A beagle found his way to our home the second week of July. The name on his collar (in Sharpie) is Odie and he is wonderful. God sent him our way for some reason and I thank God for that. He is an inside dog and well trained and very smart. I am so thankful that he found his way to our porch that morning instead getting hit by a vehicle after he was dumped. It was meant to be.
12/10/12 Update: On December 14, 2012 I am closing my brick and mortar shop in Pleasant Hill, MO. It's been a wonderful 7+ years and I'm thankful for every moment.
