About

I consider myself a conceptual artist. This is art in which the idea behind a particular work, and the means of producing it, are more important than the finished work. Most of my work has a statement that I'm trying to make, it has meaning behind it.

My inspiration is in my dreams, feelings, and experiences. I also find inspiration in music, friends, and family. My favorite medium is acrylic paint. However, I experiment with various media so that I'm more well rounded in the art world.

Even though these buildings are dated and worn, they still have so much character and they tell stories.

In college I learned how to use the art I make as a means of self-expression. My art professor told me that art has no purpose unless you have something to say. I think she is right, and I want to share what I have to say with the world.

All artists inspire me. Especially my fellow Etsians. But some famous artists in history who inspire me are; Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keeffe, Paul Cezanne, Norman Rockwell, Vincent Van Gogh, and Andrea Mantegna.
