I consider myself a conceptual artist. This is art in which the idea behind a particular work, and the means of producing it, are more important than the finished work. Most of my work has a statement that I'm trying to make, it has meaning behind it.
My inspiration is in my dreams, feelings, and experiences. I also find inspiration in music, friends, and family. My favorite medium is acrylic paint. However, I experiment with various media so that I'm more well rounded in the art world.
I enjoy painting nature subjects such as landscapes, seascapes, and butterflies. Sometimes I do use these subjects to express my conceptual ideas. I also paint and draw old barns and houses using my own creative style. I love to capture the vintage and rustic esscense of the south, North Carolina mostly.
