Who is Miss Magpie?

I love.....antiques, baking, chocolate, sunshine, bird watching, cats, a good cup of tea, the literature of Jane Austen and Charles Dickens, fine art, quality film and God's glorious nature.

I am just a mom and wife……but I could wish for no better job in this life. My family is "my heart."

I married when I was 28, became a full-time homemaker and then raised and homeschooled two sons from kindergarten to the end of high school. Following that, I developed arthritis and fibromyalgia and was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease, a chronic illness that destroyed my hearing and left me with deafness.

I then began to face an age-old question that some women in their 50's struggle with........"What in the world do I do with myself now?" Perusing antique stores has long been a favorite pastime of mine, and when I learned about Etsy, I thought that might be something I could possibly do.

Miss Magpie's Shoppe opened its doors on Etsy in August of 2010, and I've never looked back.......
