Chris Motloch began glass blowing in a large glass blowing studio in Vancouver in 1998, where he gained a solid foundation in factory-based production glass blowing skills.

Molten Spirit Glass Studio was envisioned in 2003, and hand built in 2005.
Chris works mostly alone to create his intricately patterned unique art glass.

Chris has studied and assisted at the renowned Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington and he is a regular contributor to the annual Pilchuck Auction.
Chris has also received scholarships to attend Red Deer College’s Hot Glass Program.
Through study and assisting other glass artists, Chris has gathered fine art skills and techniques to add to his personal work.
