I made my first fabric bag a few years ago, modeled after a plastic Target bag.
Between my fabric addiction and the need for a creative outlet, I made more bags and gave them to friends and family. After suggestions from my gifted recipients and being asked "where did you get that bag?" again and again, I opened my etsy shop, (I still use that first bag I made every single day!)
My fulll-time job in a sign shop fuels my obsession for type and design. The acrylic letters I decorate come from the waste of an acrylic-cutting router table. Salvaged mis-cuts, cracked, or backwards letters are hand-wrapped with patterned paper, magazine pages or discarded greeting cards, along with thread, glitter, found objects and glue.
I also enjoy designing my alphabet cards and promotional materials using adobe illustrator, an inkjet printer and my silhouette cameo. I print and cut out my alphabets, business…
