Our product and our story:
As we experience varying degrees of "Empty Nest" syndrome, my husband and I have rediscovered the joys of more time! :o)

So...here we are! Ready for a new adventure, and I am so happy we have the opportunity to work together in this. Creating these mosaics began as a hobby for me; a relaxing, therapeutic activity that I have enjoyed for years. I started making these Lazy Susan's as gifts for friends and family. Before long, I was being approached by others, wondering HOW & WHERE they could purchase one! I was very excited and it didn't take long before I was in need of help! I had no idea HOW to build the bases for the Lazy Susan's! I used to purchase pre-cut rounds (very hard to find in the right sizes) and I would proceed to "creatively piece" a unit together, using random unfinished wood items...made…

I used to purchase pre-cut rounds (very hard to find in the right sizes) and I would proceed to "creatively piece" a unit together, using random unfinished wood items...made completely for other uses! It worked okay for a little while, but progressively became more frustrating. I definitely needed a better plan! That's when my husband stepped-in and solved my dilemma...and that's when we began to form our plan to make and sell these unique pieces!

So, with much encouragement from family & friends...here we go!

Our product:
As with any venture, time & experience are excellent teachers. Our "process" has definitely evolved & improved. It has become more efficient and our pieces have become more durable and more versatile.

In order to have a quality finished product, it must begin with a well-made, sturdy "foundation". After designing his own clever methods of production, my husband cuts, sands, seals & assembles the pieces for the bases. He constructs them using strong 1/2" MDF, & rust resistant zinc-plated heavy duty metal bearings {300lb. weight capacity} as the "swivel" mechanism. When he completes the bases...I get to go to work {play?} creating the designs & doing the "finish work". I use a variety of materials such as: glass & ceramic tiles, glass gems, and stained glass pieces - which have been hand cut/nipped & ground to make sure there are no rough, sharp edges. Once all the pieces are in place & glued, I apply grout, and then a water resistant grout sealer for protection. The whole piece is then "finished" with a protective clear-coat which enhances the natural beauty of the tiles & grout, to give you a beautiful finished piece we think you can be proud to display! To protect your furniture surfaces from any potential damage, a soft "cork pad" is applied to the bottom of the Lazy Susan.

No two are exactly alike...Thanks again for taking a look! Please check back regularly for new items!
