Nancy started out 20 years ago or so as a self taught jewelry artisan just making for herself and friends. In the last several years however she has taken instruction in soldering and glass
cutting and working with precious medal clay. Over the years she would do Christmas shows at schools and churches as well as working as her job in nursing.
Now that she is retired she stays in her work shop creating, creating, creating, sometimes eight to ten hours a day.

Most all of the jewelry is made with sterling silver wire or 14 k gold filled wire.
The gold filled wire needs polishing from me to time like the silver but like the sterling the finish remains within its’ integrity

Some of the earrings made are all one piece of wire from the ear wire right down to the end where fresh water pearl hangs.

Nancy the creator collects a lot of items from nature to enhance the eclectic look.
You will find wood, stone, rust, bark, bone, antlers, shells and even a feather from time to time among her wearable art. One might find remnants of silverware somewhere in her collection. It is like a “treasure hunt” when one goes shopping in her bag of jewels! One never knows what one will find next.

Recently copper became her new love. She states that there is so many
different tones of color in copper, pinkish/salmon to a brown and then her favorite color… green happens as oxidation occurs. Not long ago she started making items from copper tubing used to connect ice makers in refrigerators.
