About

Hi, I'm Alexis and I live in the Southern California Mountains with my husband, my son, our two dogs, our guide dog puppy in training and six chickens. We are a busy family but we have a ton of fun.

A little bit about Mountain Vintage:

What got you started?

I started antiquing around 12 with a friend of the family. I was hooked immediately. I think my first purchases were vintage records and clothing but as I got older and moved to my first place I turned to kitchen items, linens and so much more.

Where do you find your stuff?

What got you started?

I started antiquing around 12 with a friend of the family. I was hooked immediately. I think my first purchases were vintage records and clothing but as I got older and moved to my first place I turned to kitchen items, linens and so much more.

Where do you find your stuff?

Everywhere. I'm a huge fan of salvage yards, yard sales, antique stores, flea markets and thrift stores. My husband and I often get in the car on the weekends and pick a new direction to go. I find stuff all over CA.

What might I find in your shop?

What won't you find? Truly I try to keep an eclectic mixture. A house becomes a home when you are surrounded by things you love. Vintage items already have a history and I love that. Always buy what you love and figure a way to work it in later. That's my motto.

What vintage items do you find irresistable?

Chairs! Oh my word do I have a lot of vintage chairs. Not counting those in the house I probably have 10 more in my studio. Oh, and anything vintage metal. I love locker baskets and milk crates and egg baskets. Anything metal that can be repurposed has to come home with me.

Can I ask you to check stock?

Heck yes. If I have it I would be happy to list it for you. I'm currently going through boxes in my garage, my studio and at my parent's house. I'll be listing a ton over the next month.
