I am a well-recognized artist in Louisiana for my wooden crosses, which are in many states as well as other countries. I am a member of the Louisiana Crafts Guild. In October of 2005, during the rehabilitation process after a major back surgery, I began my Cross of a Storm woodworking journey. I found himself in new territory in not knowing what work I was capable of after surgery. The vision surfaced to build a cross out of discarded fence boards that I had found. About

When friends saw this cross they immediately wanted one, then their friends also wanted one, which lead to another, then another.

During this time in conversation with so many, I realized that people wanted to share the storms in their lives with me. Thus witnessing the goodness, belief and vision that our Lord Jesus Christ gives us is so powerful. Knowing that I was touching so many people with my wooden crosses, I searched for other ways to reach out to more people. That’s when the idea surfaced to create a necklace from my cross design, specifically the way it’s displayed; signifying the way Jesus had carried it.

I realized by working though my own storm, that I was actually helping others work thru theirs. I am humbled by God’s gift and privileged to witness the storms in their lives.
