Welcome....My name is Stephanie and by trade I am a nurse and by genetics I am creative. I grew up on Lake superior, hence the name Superior Creations.

As a child I would watch my grandmother and my mother sew. My grandmother would stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning and my mother made me the best Halloween costumes!

My first sewing project was a quilted vest that I made in 4-H. Since then I have made many things and just love the array of material available for my projects. After a request to make a basket for The Relay for Life to be auctioned off, I have decide to continue with my passion.

My family likes to travel and the material for my projects comes from all over including the Virgin Islands and Barbados. Some is hand dyed by my mother. I get inspiration form the colors I see around me.

I love the bright vibrant colors in the Caribbean, the teal blue of the ocean, a bright orange sunset with purple hues and the bright greens of the Rain Forest. I often use material from the outdoors; driftwood, shells, rocks and sea glass. The shells are hand gathered by my mother and I from St Croix and the drift wood is gathered by me from the shores of Lake Superior.

I think my creations and choice of colors reflect my personality and I thank my mother for my creative soul! With colors are so fabulous...how could you not bring them indoors!
