About

Muffin of Doom Vintage sells all things vintage: clothing, kitchen items, sculpture, jewelry. Most of my site is focused on clothing, but I have other items as well so please browse.

I'm a high school teacher by trade. I do this on the side so that I can have a little extra cash for school supplies, and because I love hunting for treasures at estate sales and such. After all is said and done, I turn a very small profit that goes into purchasing classroom supplies. Here are some of the things I purchased over the last several years:

audiobooks
DVD's
Mexican food for 70 kids (sophomores had a fiesta after reading The Pearl)
Tea and Tea Party Supplies (freshmen had a high tea after finishing Great Expectations)
Pens, markers, pencils
Craft boxes…

This summer I will be selling items on behalf of some of my students. They are earning money for a trip to Ireland and the United Kingdom in the summer of 2014. Items will be clearly marked for the student who will benefit from the sale. I am willing to negotiate prices on some items. It never hurts to ask me, so please do.

Yes, it's true! We teachers buy the supplies for the classroom. There just isn't enough money for much more than paper and pencils, and even that supply is limited. Since I have this forum available to me, I'd like to ask each and every person who reads it to send a box of tissue or pencils or something to your child's teacher. I'm sure that teacher could use it. Thanks!
