About

Wellcome to Sublime!

“Sublime” is the name we give to the highest expression of something, and it defines the desperate search which impelled romantic artists in 1830. That’s the motivation of my life too. Sublime tries to find the maximum expression of every idea and design, and according to this we put our heart and soul to make our costumes as beautiful as possible. Our mission is bringing a sight of the past to the present, making fashion from past times for today users.

My name is Muriel Dal Bo, and I´m going to tell you my story:

I started to design my own clothing when I was about 17 years old. I was living in Canary Island at this time, a very small land among the oceans and far away from Europe. What I’m going to tell you was taking place in 1989 and I didn’t have any money to go shopping. My…

Wellcome to Sublime!

“Sublime” is the name we give to the highest expression of something, and it defines the desperate search which impelled romantic artists in 1830. That’s the motivation of my life too.

My family was poor. I used to buy my clothes in second hand shops. I wasn’t a fashion girl. This situation made my conception of fashion very different from the usual one. Since my early childhood I was absolutely certain about one thing regarding the 20th century clothing: its ugliness. These two things together were the reasons because of which I started to customize, reform, and create my own fashion.
I took some confection classes in 1989, but they only lasted approximately six months. I continued learning by my own long time after, and I still do.
For very, very long years, I never thought about design as my profession. I used my skills only for me, and maybe, occasionally, to make some presents for my friends.

Everything changed when I opened my Facebook profile in 2008. When I uploaded pictures of me, dressed with my designs, people who didn’t know me before or who didn’t know me personally started to ask me about my clothing’s origin and if I sold it.
I was really fortunate when a friend decided to help me financing my first collection Sublime Search, and my trademark Sublime in 2009. I had to work very hard to release the second collection in 2010, Romantic Cabaret, and during 2011 I have been working in basic T-shirts and accessories.
Now I’m preparing the 2012 collection, this time with items for men too!
