About

Art is a beautiful word! It holds so much importance to me and to my siblings, as well. We are a family of right-brained people--or, so I think!

My Dream Garden is like a dream come true, second only to becoming a watercolor artist, or a fashion designer, or a photographer, or an interior designer. I guess having a dream garden is about the best!

I'm really lovin' this whole experience! For me, being an artist is what it's all about. Next to the joy of loving God and my family, it doesn't matter what I do as long as I'm being creative.

Art is about fulfillment--about doing something that makes you happy. That happiness will affect others around you.

Each unique scarf takes much time and imagination, and the end result is worth every minute taken, every penny spent and every bit of patience you can muster.

Vintage, Czech glass buttons are rare beauties that I've sewn onto many of my pieces, along with other vintage and retro buttons. Some scarves are strung with pearls, shells and beads--a very time-intensive process. Each scarf is unique, no design repeated. I want to maintain my unique style, my signature, in my scarves. I have had much success with them over the years and many happy customers. I hope you can sense my passion for what I do in each piece I create.

My home and its wooded area behind is located near Lake Erie of the Great Lakes. Summers are spent gardening and photographing family, wildlife and plants, while winters are spent indoors for other creative expression. I love it here.

Painting and sketching, under the guidance of an esteemed Japanese artist, along with sculpture classes at our local community college, are the sum total of my art education. One does not always need formal art lessons; it just makes it a little bit easier.

I'm a self-taught artist who believes that creativity spans a lifetime and never stops growing.
