About

Creating unique, one-of-a-kind handspun art yarns. One of the things that makes these yarns so different is that I spin using a drop-spindle my father [R.I.P.] custom-made for me. Over the years, I have developed my own "hand" and weight of yarn spun. The majority of yarns I spin (apart from stories -- *wink*) are a lightweight 2-ply "fingering weight", but also durable with a nice "drape" to them.

With one foot firmly in the Pacific Northwest (Washington, British Columbia, Oregon, Idaho) and the other foot firmly in the North Atlantic (Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Maine), I offer a mystical blend of exotic rural ruggedness, timeless feminine beauty, and a flourish of the magickal.

Currently featured in my avatar and banner is my great-great-grandmother. A compelling woman that worked her way back and forth on the wagon trains four (4!!) times before getting married and homesteading in NW Montana / Alberta (and then on to Boise Valley, Idaho and Portland, Oregon). There is still a lot of mystery around her origins and true background, her motivations, and her eclectic spiritual aspirations -- but that's what makes her so interesting!
