OUR NAME:
I’m a mom of three beautiful children. Seven years ago I was forced to sit back and embraced the beauty of this world from a different point of view. In July of 2009 my husband and I lost our first son, Seth, 28 weeks into our pregnancy. That experience though deeply painful was beautiful in that it strengthened our marriage, our faith, our love for our children and my desire to explore my creative dreams.

Since Seth's birth I've felt a unique connection to sunflowers and each one reminds me of my son. Hence the origin of My Sonflower. We have two younger children who fill my days with unpredictable beauty {and chaos}. Once their heads reach their pillows I gain my second wind and begin time in my studio. There I create works of art by hand beneath the moon.

A LEGACY:
I'm determined to share our story and hopefully find a way to help the legacy of our son Seth live on. This site is one way for me to make a difference while sharing Seth's legacy with you. I can’t allow his brief life to go unnoticed. I am committed to donating 10% of the profit from My Sonflower shop to the charities that support pregnancy loss and infant bereavement in honor of Seth and the rest of the children who have left this world far to soon.
